Eternal Traces

Dr. Meryt Brownstone is a talented cardiologist living a quite low-key life at a local hospital where she spends her extra hours experimenting with transfusion patients and synthetic blood looking for a remedy or at least a solution to extend their lives.

As single woman living in upstate New York, her lifestyle doesn’t allow for the luxury of getting involved with people because when she’s not plunking around in the lab she’s involved with a man; first name Uncle, last name Sam.

As an ex-military officer who still works as an undercover mercenary for the government, this means personal drama is something she can do without and living under the radar is expected.

But her solitude is broken when Dr. Fritz Daniels mysteriously appears, seemingly drawn by her blood research, and joins her in the laboratory with different ideas. To add more complications, Fritz’s blue-eyed devilish brother, mesmerizes Meryt in a way she can’t ignore.

Love may be within Meryt’s reach, but she is perplexed by his odd behavior. Meryt isn’t the only one with secrets and hidden agendas.

When she is called to duty on a secret mission in Sudan the adventure begins and old secrets, as well as, lost secrets come to light. Soon Meryt is catapulted down a mysterious path—a bloody path she may have traveled before.

Thousands of years ago in ancient Africa, Nitocris fights for her nation and for a man she loved. Parallel events shape both of their lives.

Meryt is in a race against time and unknown enemies. If she can’t figure out her true mission soon, she will be forced to relive her gruesome past in which she lost everyone and everything she has ever loved

About shondabrock

I'm a southern in my heart and a northern in my soul. I've had a few bad wines, but for the most part I've enjoyed enough good wines that it makes up for the few bad bottles. I enjoy writing, but more than writing itself, I love telling a good story, taking my reader off on an adventure starting with "What If"…. I'm a sucker for the Paranormal Romance genre. To me, its nice to be released from "What Is Expected" and believe for 250 pages in "What If's". Its like a vacation with out passports, waiting in line and an expensive credit card bill when you return home. An additional note: I've started another blog page for Home Care. I know the two are unrelated, but in my world they are. My paying job is 100% dedicated to Home Care and educating families on their new journey. One of my favorite quotes, I leave with all of my clients. "One's destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things." - by Henry Miller Please Enjoy, but more importantly Stay Inspired…
